The Other is considered to be Europe s most famous horrorpunk-band
Gigs at some of the biggest alternative festivals in Europe like the
Wacken Open Air the Amphi Festival Mera Luna Summer Breeze Weekend
of Horrors Endless Summer Force Attack Wave Gotik Treffen and
countless other festivals support the label that the press gave the
horror-fourpiece. Shows with Alice Cooper Bela B. (of Germany s
punkrock superstars Die Aerzte) The 69 Eyes The Cult and tours with
Misfits The Damned Balzac and Wednesday 13 added to the success of
the grave-rockers and are proof that The Other appeals to Punk-Rock
Goth- and Metal-audiences alike. The band played endlessly all over
Europe in the last years and even toured the USA or Russia
All scene-magazines covered The Other even the daily- and yellow-press
wrote about the band and their videoclip for the song Lovers Lane
with adult-actress Leonie Saint. The band was even extensively featured
on MTV Masters on the French-German cultural TV-channel ARTE
(Tracks) and on SAT1 (Planetopia)
The Other s first comicbook Tales From The Other was also a big
success and was followed by a second comic book entitled Der Fluch des
Kultes in 2012 which was published by Panini Comics
In 2010 The Other singed a deal with the worldwide popular Rock-label
SPV (Judas Priest Alice Cooper M tley Cr e Mot rhead ) and
cooperated with producer Waldemar Sorychta (The Gaterhing Lacuna Coil
Moonspell etc.) to deliver their break-through album New Blood . It s
mixture of dark Punk-Rock with Goth- and Metal-Influences and haunting
melodies received outstanding reviews in all genre magazines
The band’s fifth album The Devils you know was released in June 2012
in Europe and July 2012 in North-America. The band again worked with
producer Waldemar Sorychta and created their most diverse album to
date GroupNews
